Stuart Carlton
Dr. Stuart Carlton is the Assistant Director of the Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant College Program. He manages the day-to-day operation of IISG and works with the IISG Director and staff to coordinate all aspects of the program. He is also the host and executive producer of Teach Me About the Great Lakes, a monthly podcast in which he asks smart people to teach him and his co-hosts something about the Great Lakes.
Stuart is an interdisciplinary social scientist who holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Ecology from the University of Florida, an MS in Fisheries Biology from the University of Georgia, and a BS in English from Tulane University. Prior to joining IISG, he held positions at Texas Sea Grant, Florida Sea Grant, and the Natural Resources Social Science Lab in Purdue’s Department of Forestry and Natural Resources.
